It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Earl Burgess on the morning of April 25, 2023.

Earl was a loving husband, dedicated father and a proud, Grampie. He was a generous and intelligent man with a quick wit that would amaze all who knew him. He always put his family first and never lost an opportunity to let his love be known.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Maria, daughter Michelle (Kevin), son Earl (Mary) granddaughter Amyiah. Sister Shirley Benson, Brockville Ontario, brother Hugh Burgess, Newport Station. Lifetime friend Scott Whitehead who was loyal in life and during passing. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by Parents, Mary and Benjamin. Sisters Margaret, Hazel, Joyce, and brother Benjamin.

Earl was a true gentleman and possessed qualities other men only strive to achieve.

A private Celebration of Life will take place at later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered , “Come along with Me”.
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer, and saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A loving heart stopped beating, Hardworking hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us.
He only takes the best!
